About IAmReady
What is IAmReady?
Learn how IAmReady works and the options available to you.
- Have you been involved in a Police investigation into child sexual abuse or exploitation?
- Are you unhappy with the outcome?
This website gives you information about the options that might be available to you if you would like your case reviewed.
We know that it can take a long time to feel ready to talk about what happened to you. Everyone’s journey is different, and there is no right or wrong time to come forward.
IAmReady was created following national recommendations to make sure victims and survivors of non-recent child sexual abuse have a clear and accessible way to ask for their case to be looked at again. This includes cases of group-based child sexual exploitation, cases where a previous Police investigation resulted in a No Further Action (NFA) decision and cases that may be eligible for an independent review through the Child Sexual Abuse Review Panel (CSARP).
The gateway allows you to share information when you feel ready and in a way that works for you. Once you submit your information, it will be carefully reviewed and considered for the most appropriate pathway. This may include a review of previous decisions, consideration by an independent panel, or signposting to support services.
Using IAmReady does not mean you have to report a crime or take part in a criminal investigation or prosecution. It is simply a way of letting us know that you would like your experience to be considered. We recognise the courage it takes to come forward, and our aim is to make the process as straightforward, supportive, and trauma-informed as possible.
